Writing Challenge: March 27, 2017
Prompt: Write about your muse.
My muse has many faces and none at all because inspiration strikes in many ways. Sometimes it is overwhelming emotion or a story that must to be told. Other times it is a reminder of my lack of effort. It can spring from the intense desire to prove something to myself, and occasionally it is sheer boredom. Often the words write themselves, forming into sentences and fragments in my mind and falling from my lips or my fingers on their own accord. In these moments my muse is something more and less than myself. The best I can do to describe my muse is to say that my muse is more a presence than a person, more a voice than a figure, and more a feeling than a being. My muse is part of me, yet it is separate. It has no name. It simply is.
