Prompt: write about something that happened by chance in a positive way

My brother and I started a tradition our senior year of high school. Whenever we need a little break and just need to get away- we drive somewhere random, get out of the car, and explore. These “excursions” as we call them, have led to some of our favorite stories completely by chance. Our first excursion put us two towns over in a random shopping complex. The first thing we saw was an old dollar theater. We went inside and asked for two tickets to the next show playing, no matter what that show was. It was Hercules. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed the movie, as we had no intention of seeing a movie that day and had no idea what movie we had just bought a ticket for. The movie was not a big, box-office-busting success. It didn’t win any awards. In an of itself it wasn’t spectacular, but it did create a memory that will last for years to come.
