Forgiveness

Writing Challenge: Dec 7. 2017

Prompt: Write about a time you forgave someone or someone forgave you

I don’t forgive you for what you did.

Everyone says “forgiveness is key”

They say you “have to forgive”

And that “forgiveness is for you”.

But, I disagree.

I don’t forgive you because you aren’t sorry.

You don’t want to be forgiveness,

Because you can’t admit you were wrong.

You hurt so many people.

You were selfish.

You lied, you cheated, and worst of all-

You used me to hurt someone else.

Yet, you aren’t sorry.

If you felt remorse,

I would gladly offer forgiveness-

But you don’t

And I won’t.

I’ll let it go.

I let you go from my life.

But I won’t forgive you yet.
