How to Relax

Writing Challenge: July 30, 2018

Prompt: How do you relax?

Some days I take a walk- the feeling of the ground under my feet in a steady rhythm as I explore familiar spaces eases my mind.

Some days I curl up on the couch and read a book. Letting the world slip away as I slip into the story I’m reading.

Some days I write- nothing special or important, just getting words out of my mind and onto a page.

Some days I mindless watch my favorite shows and movies for the 1 millionth time while I crochet or sew.

Other days I just cook- anything and everything, letting the process of chopping, stirring, mixing, and baking lull me into a creative state of zen.

There are a million ways to relax depending on my mood and needs.
