Everywhere, Anywhere, Nowhere

Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.

Ive always felt out of place.

And yet, I feel like I feel like I could find some comfort anywhere. By the time I was 21, I had moved 20 times. I lived in all sorts of conditions in my short time; from overcrowded apartments in southern city ghettos to suburban houses in the Rockies. Always striving for a better life, always looking for a place to put roots down and grow, but no matter where I’ve been, I’ve always felt like I was just one foot in.

Maybe because I belong nowhere, I can see myself anywhere.

  1. Me too Ashley Mae. I lived in foster homes as a child and I was a soldier for 15 years. My home is where I can lay my head down to rest.
